Tim is off taking a CPR class.
The kid just had an echo, and they’re waiting for a doctor (any doctor!) to come in and review it. He had a little Versed IV this time, and it didn’t knock him out completely, just gave him about 10 minutes worth of jaws-agape fascination with
the ceiling. I was kind of hoping he’d be out for a few hours, like last time. Would have made the car ride home easier. Ah, well.
We’re on track for a discharge this morning, although I just finished telling them that I’m not going anywhere until my husband gets back from the class. It’s downtown, so I don’t want to him get lost between here and there.
Almost done… With the easy part, anyway (easy being relative). Now for the at-home recovery. Not picking the kid up under his arms is much, much more difficult than one would imagine.
I think I’m going to need a week of vacation to recover from my week of ‘vacation’. Ugh.
