We just discovered that Olin has, in addition to the VSD and PDA, a Patent Foramen Ovale that we never knew about. Ahh, the glories of thorough echocardiograms. Luckily, it’s something that they can fix right along with everything else.
According to the cardiologist, the VSD gets a patch, the PDA gets a clip, and the PFO gets a stitch.
No surgery time yet. I suppose we’ll get that info this afternoon, when we get to St. Mary’s and visit with the surgeon.
Ronald McDonald House apparently has a ‘very long’ waiting list – we’re number 41 on the list… Time for Plan B, there. I think we’ll get a hotel for tonight (preferably with RMH’s discounted rate) and worry about tomorrow when it comes.
